The Can't Miss Nationals Blog

A long time SkateFan and close friend of mine resides in Cleveland, home of the 2009 US Nationals. She's started a blog to provide nationals coverage plus maybe some neato local tips and tricks for getting around, where to eat, where to see and be seen, etc. Okay, maybe just some great coverage of Nationals.

If you're going to be there, or if you'd just like to pretend you are, drop by Ought Nine Nationals:

Hey, there is a really great article about a male high schooler who decided to battle stereotypes and skate. Here's the link: http://voice.paly.net/view_story.php?id=7694

Hi! I am an avid reader of your skating fiction. Have been for a few years. I am a songwriter who is obsessed with pairs skating. You inspired me to write a song. It's kind of creepy though.

The song is here: http://www.smodcast.net/songfu/05song3/denise_hudson-mistakes_were_made.mp3
And the story with lyrics about it are on my blog:

Hope you enjoy as much as I have enjoyed your writing :)

I don't think you can ever appreciate ice skating professionals until you see them live. DOn't get me wrong, I love wathing it on TV but I really got hooked when I saw a show live when I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise ;ast year. Of all the things I expected to be on a cruise ship, an ice skating rink featuring professional shows was beyond my imagination. But I just had to have a go during the day myself and I loved it. i go ice skating now as often as I can
